Men are increasingly seeking solutions for stubborn areas of fat despite diet and exercise. These men may be good candidates for liposuction.

The same types of liposuction available to women are suitable for men. These include energy based fat breakdown techniques and others use mechanical means to increase efficiency of fat removal. Mr Molajo will assess you and advise of the type suited to your individual situation.

About Liposuction for men

What liposuction involves

Liposuction is usually performed under general anaesthesia, however in certain situations it may be performed under local anaesthesia. Fluid containing local anaesthetic is infused into the areas where fat is to be removed. The fat is removed using a suction device. Liposuction can be combined with other procedures to optimise the results.

Recovery

Some patients go home the same day, others stay in hospital overnight. You may wish to allow 1-2 weeks for recovery depending on your occupation. Heavy lifting should be avoided for 4-6 weeks. A compression garment is worn during the recovery period.

1 week: wound check and review

6 weeks: You should be able to return to most of your normal activities. Swelling will subside

The swelling will reduce and your result will continue to improve over several months.

Is liposuction right for me?

The decision to have liposuction is very personal, but empowering. With his relaxed but informative consultation style, Mr Molajo will seek to examine concerns and determine what you want to achieve. Mr Molajo will conduct a detailed assessment to identify the best options available and review your medical history to confirm your eligibility.

Occasionally Mr Molajo encounters patients who are not suitable for liposuction. Mr Molajo will advise if this surgery is right for you. Patient safety is at the centre of his surgical practice.

After having found mr molajo last year I finally took the plunge last month and had my surgery! (Old implants removed, capsulectomy, new implants and a lift!) I have to say the care throughout and the final result is more than I could have ever wished for! Mr Malajo was very approachable and explained the procedure in a straightforward way. No pressure was applied on me to proceed with the surgery. The surgery itself was a complete success (only minimal discomfort afterwards) and my recovery was complete in 5 weeks. My only regret is waiting until I was 71 before having the surgery.

I had been wanting breast surgery for a few years and had had a couple of consultations with different surgeons but it never felt right. I decided to have another consultation and straight away I felt at ease with Mr Molajo and knew within minutes that I wanted him to do the surgery. Mr Molajo worked wonders with my breasts. Having had 3 children, I was unhappy with my deflated breasts. I had seen two different surgeons prior to Mr Molajo, who were very unpleasant and spoke about my body as though I wasn’t there.
